I love creating my own backgrounds, using a multiple of stamps and colour. Pinterest is a huge inspiration for me.
Card Base – Very Vanilla
Early Espresso 5 1/4×4
Very Vanilla 5 x 3 3/4
I created the background first, using the accent stamps from Beauty Abounds, then added some butterflies from the Butterfly Gala Stamp set. Larger circles in Granny Apple Green, smaller circles in Crushed Curry, sprinkle stamp in Flirty Flamingo and butterflies done in Early Espresso ink. Both of these stamp sets are available in a bundle with dies, as well. You can save 10% when you purchase the bundle option.
Very quick and easy card. I usually make these in multiples, so I’m never without a quick note card.
This card is lovely in its simplicity and clean lines. Much like my quilts, I often tend to head more in the “tone on tone” colour ways.
Card base is Crumb Cake
Matte – Blushing Bride – 5 1/4×4
Front – Whisper White – 5 x 3 3/4
I stamped the designs with Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride – keep it simple. A little “Wink of Stella” on the flowers gave it just enough ” je ne sais quoi”. Again, Pinterest was my inspiration for this card.
I used this design for our niece’s wedding a couple of weeks ago and put the word LOVE instead of FRIEND. This is one of my favourite cards. I saw this card on Pinterest, by Gail Ellis. I loved it so much, I cased it as is!
Powder pink – 4 1/4×5 1/2 … Emboss with “Subtle” folder
then die cut using the largest die from the Stitched Rectangles
Whisper White – 8 1/2×5 1/2, score 4 1/4
Whisper white – 3 1/2×4 1/2, die cut into frame using Stitched Rectangles
Whisper White – scraps for word dies
Vellum 4x 3 1/2 – Use Versamark and White Embossing Powder to create stamp and die cut the floral image.
I die cut the word “FRIEND” out three times and layered them for more dimension.
