Merry Christmas

A quick note to wish you all a very merry and safe Christmas. This past month has been a whirlwind of completing customers’ quilts, so they could be bound and ready for their Christmas morning recipients. My card making time has been limited, as has my blogging time. My dear friend and fellow crafter, made me these amazing Critters’n Ink, cups and serving plate, for Christmas. Love, love, love them!Classes will be recommencing in January.

Sunday, Jan 20th, 1-3pm, at the Cobourg store location or Wednesday evening , 6:30-9:30pm in Brighton. the cost is $15 pp or, if you place an order of $50 or more, the cost is waived. You will make three greeting cards, and a special project.

Stay tuned, for information on the new Occasions Catalogue and the Sale-a-bration, starting January 5th.

Thanks to everyone, for making my first year as a Stampin UP! Demonstrator, so much fun. Your support and encouragement is immeasurable.

Glittery Christmas Card

img_1761.jpg

This beautiful card was inspired by a card by Kathleen Wingerson, a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in the US.  She called it the “packing tape” technique, literally using packing tape, to apply the Dazzling Diamonds glitter (133751),  to the window.  I’m sure I’ll be leaving a trail of dimensional backs and glitter up the stairs when I head up for dinner lol.  I layered gold DSP as my first matte, over the Basic Black card stock base, then cut a hole in the top matte (Very Vanilla – )  using the 2″ punch. To get the raised element around the edges, I scored 1/4″ from the edge on all four sides, using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334).   It’s a good idea to stamp your sentiment now. The sentiment, in Memento ink (132708) , is from the Snow is Glistening stamp set (149742).   I laid a piece of packing tape over the hole, from the back side of the card stock, sticky side up to the front (good side) of the card stock.  Then, I sprinkled the Dazzling Diamonds over the sticky tape, burnished it in with my finger, then shook off the excess.  On a piece of 3×3″ Very Vanilla card stock, I used the Sheet Music stamp (143970), to create, you guessed it, the sheet music, using Early Espresso ink (126974).   I applied snail adhesive to the right side of the music paper, and placed it behind the glittery window.  Before I layered the top matte, I placed a small bow and ribbon “hanger”, then attached the top layer to the gold DSP with Dimensionals.  On the inside, I glued in a piece of Very Vanilla card stock as a liner, for your personal message.

Sweet Little Treat Holder

This cute little treat box was my contribution to our “roommie gifts”, when I was at the OnStage, in Orlando last month.  I saw this adorable little treat box on Dawn Griffith’s YouTube and couldn’t wait to Case it. I used Festive Farm House DSP, and the sweet Sprig Punch (148012).  The items in this Holiday Catalogue are available until January 3, 2019, or until supplies run out.
