This cute card layout was designed by Rich Griffith, husband to the Glitter Queen, Dawn Griffith. You can see her tutorial on YouTube, https://youtu.be/R4yi0mBzRdE, here.
Basic Black – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. Score 4 1/4, Plus 3/4″ x 4″ for the banner and a 4 x 4″ square for the black oval matte
Whisper White – 4 x 4″ square for Stamp
Granny apple green – 5 1/4 x 4
Mango Melody – 3 x 3 3/4, 3 3/4 x 1 3/4, Plus 3/4″ x 4″
Coastal Cabana – 2 7/8 x 3 5/8, 1 3/8 x 3 5/8, Plus 3/4″ x 4″
Using your trimmer, line up the left edge of the Granny Apple Green (4″ side) to the 3 1/4″ mark, and using the cutting blade, make a cut from the 1 1/2 inch mark to the 3 1/2″ mark. Alternatively, you can use a ruler and a craft knife to cut a 2″ slit at the 3 1/4″ mark. This is where the little banners slide in.
I stamped the design with Memento Black ink, on Whisper white, and cut it out with the second largest plain oval, from the Layering Ovals dies. I used the Stampin’ Write markers in Mango Melody, Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple green, then went around the designs with my Smokey Slate Stampin Write Marker. You can use the Stampin Blend if you don’t have the Neutral set of Stampin Write markers. Wink of Stella on the flowers and leaves, finished it off quite nicely. I cut out the black with the largest scalloped oval of the Layering Ovals
On the banners, I used “Thank You” and “You are simply the best” from the Varied Vases stamp set, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.
