Indigo Bunting Beauty

Yesterday, a baby Indigo Bunting flew into the window at our quilt shop in Cobourg. Glen brought him home, as one of his wings is damaged. It seems to be improving, as it’s not as droopy as it was yesterday, but he still can’t fly. Today, we found a used birdcage at Petticoat Lane, in Cobourg. Petticoat Lane is a thrift shop that supports the auxiliary at the Cobourg Hospital. I was getting frustrated with our search for a birdcage, as I wasn’t crazy about buying a new cage for a short term guest. All they asked for cage was $2.50. Seriously! The bird seed cost more lol. We’ve named him “Smurf”, and I have to say, he’s anxious to get out of dodge. As soon as his wing heals, he’ll be a free agent.

Paper crafting gives me balance in a very hectic life, as a wife, mother and quilt shop owner. Sharing my love of creating is easy, as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and as a quilter. It doesn't matter which medium you choose, I think creativity keeps you young.
