Dashing Deer Christmas Card

It’s never too early to start preparing your Christmas cards. I recently got the new Scripty 3D embossing folder, and while it’s not “Christmassy”, it fit the bill perfectly.

I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla using the new embossing folder, then scraped the Versamark ink pad roughly here and there, over the raised words – sprinkled the Copper embossing powder lightly over the card stock and heat embossed, to create this unique matte for my card.

I also heat embossed, in copper, the larger of the deer in the Dashing Deer stamp set, and layered over the copper foil sheets. I used the 1/4″ copper trim, instead of ribbon, to complete the metallic look.

I used Crumb Cake ink for the sentiment on the inside of the card.

Very Vanilla – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, score at 4 1/4, 5 1/4 x 4 (2), 2 1/4 x 3 1/2
Copper Foil – 2 1/2 x 3 3/4

Paper crafting gives me balance in a very hectic life, as a wife, mother and quilt shop owner. Sharing my love of creating is easy, as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and as a quilter. It doesn't matter which medium you choose, I think creativity keeps you young.
