I was sad to see Lovely as a Tree retire, but Winter Woods is a great replacement. I saw this card on Pinterest, and just had to CASE it.
Shaded Spruce – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, score at 4 1/2
Very Vanilla – 5 1/4 x 4 (2)
White Shimmer paper – 5 1/4 x 2
Vellum – 5 1/4 x 4
I used the curved outline die to create the snow “hills” out of Shimmer White paper, then placed that curved piece onto the Very Vanilla and lightly traced a pencil line to get an idea for tree placement.
On the Very Vanilla, I stamped the trees along that line. Erase the pencil line just to be on the safe side.
Next, I embossed the Vellum with the Softly Falling Embossing folder, which at the moment, is on the Clearance page on my website. Regular price $14, now on sale for $8.40 – now THAT’s a good deal.
Place the vellum, on the Very Vanilla, over the stamped tree line. I used Tear and Tape along the bottom of the vellum piece and a few mini glue dots under the raised snow flakes. If you use liquid glue under vellum, it may show and take away from the beauty of your card.
Layer your curved Shimmer snow line onto the vellum, lining up along the bottom.
Stamp the large evergreen tree onto Shaded Spruce, using Shaded Spruce Ink, then die cut. I used the Fine Tipped Glue randomly over the tree boughs, then used the new Ice Stampin Glitter, to create “ice” on the branches. A few Stampin’ Dimensionals, and voila!
