Beauty Abounds Team Swap

We are a young, growing team, at The Critters’n Ink, Critters’ Den. With the catalogue launch this past month, we decided to start a monthly swap, within our group. This is my contribution. I hope you like it.

We need to first, create our butterfly background piece. I did this using a piece of whisper white card stock 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, and using a Stampin’ Sponge, I used 4 different inks to create a coloured sheet. I then take the die of choice, from the Butterfly Beauty Dies, and cut out my butterfly, with my Big Shot.

I remove the bottom right butterfly, with my paper snips as that’s where I want my sentiment to go.

I used the Tasteful Textile embossing folder to emboss another Whisper White (5 1/2 x 4 1/4), to use as the back ground for the butterfly.

I used mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, cut in half and smaller pieces, to elevate the butterfly element.

I layered this onto my card base (I used 4 different card base colours to reflect the colours I used to create the butterfly piece.) I used coordinating enamel dots to match the card base colour.

For the sentiment, I used white embossing powder on Basic Black card stock, then fussy cut it out and attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals

Paper crafting gives me balance in a very hectic life, as a wife, mother and quilt shop owner. Sharing my love of creating is easy, as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and as a quilter. It doesn't matter which medium you choose, I think creativity keeps you young.
