This sweet card was one of our projects at our last team meeting. Shared by Catherine Sanders. I love it’s simplicity and clean lines.
The first thing I did was create a “mask” with a Post-it note, by stamping the image onto the post-it note and cutting it out. Then I stamped my first set of flowers at the top of my Basic White piece (3-3/4 x 5-1/4). Next, I placed the mask over the original stamped image on the card, then stamped my second set of flowers, overlapping onto the mask. The mask protects the original image and keeps it clean. Repeat once more to complete the row of flowers.
In this picture, you can see the many colours that coordinate with the Simply Marbelous DSP, which is also free with qualifying sales during Sale-a-bration, which ends today. After I cut out the outer side of the floral strip, I layered a 1″ strip of the Marbelous paper behind it, and centred it onto a piece of Basic Black (4-3/8 x 5-3/8)
For the sentiment, I used another FREE stamp set – Special Moments – yep! Free with qualifying order with Sale-a-bration. The black mat behind the sentiment is cut at 3-3/4 x 1 and I used the Banners Pick A Punch to create the flagged ends. I did the same technique with the Basic White, 3/4″ x 3-1/2.
