I’ve rediscovered Tea Boutique

When I was doing some reorganization in my craft room on the weekend, I found a package of Tea Boutique DSP. It’s a 6 x 6″ collection of sweet tea pots, florals and backgrounds. I also found a part package of the Tea Boutique note cards and got out the stamp set and dies.

In the above blue sample, I used the Deckled Rectangles to cut out the front Basic White panel out of the first matte (4 x 5-1/4) , since it was going to be covered anyway. I also cut the solid cup from the DSP piece, which I actually cut from the front of one of the Tea boutique note cards. I cut this piece at 3-7/8 x 5-1/8. I used Starry Sky card stock to cut the decorative cup die to layer onto the DSP cup

In this card, I “cased ” the catalogue. The catalogue is a great source of inspiration, if you’re ever not sure where to start. I created a Tahitian Tide water colour wash as the base colour on the Thick Basic white , then stamped off the leafy element before stamping on the card front. I used the solid tea cup die for the floral cups and layered the fancier cup die cut onto a matching card stock solid cup.

In these two cards, I made a crossover “envelope” for the removable note card. I used the Very Best Trio punch to create interest in the top corners of the note card. I have a YouTube tutorial in the works. for this one.

Don’t forget to check out the catalogues for great inspiration. You will be amazed at how quickly you start seeing new ideas grow in your own creations.

Here is a list of the products that I used

Paper crafting gives me balance in a very hectic life, as a wife, mother and quilt shop owner. Sharing my love of creating is easy, as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and as a quilter. It doesn't matter which medium you choose, I think creativity keeps you young.
