I wanted to make a get well card for Glen’s cousin and initially I was going to send a “critter-type” light hearted card but I wasn’t “feeling it”, so I started flipping through my DSP collection and the All About Autumn 6″ x 6″ DSP just jumped out at me. I love this paper so much! Beautiful fall scenes and homey library and leathery pictures on one side and foiled geometrics on the reverse side in gorgeous fall shades. It’s suitable for masculine or feminine type cards and of course – it’s that time of year.
I found this fun fold on Pinterest. What a great site to get inspiration! As you can see from the inside view, the 1″ side is on the right and folds towards the back to allow the card to open. Place the sentiment layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals only on that 1″ panel. This helps to keep the card closed.
Directions:
- Card Base – (Early Espresso) 5-1/2 x 7-1/2, scored at 1″ and 4-1/4″
- 1st Matte – (Very Vanilla) 3″ x 5-1/4″ (front) and 3/4″ x 5-1/4″ (side 1″ panel)
- Designer Series Paper (All About Autumn) – 2-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ (front) and 5/8″ x 5-1/8″ (side panel)
- Inside layer – (Very Vanilla) 3″ x 5-1/4″
- Scraps of Early Espresso and Very Vanilla for punched elements
The ribbons are the Copper and Natural Ribbon Combo from the Sept-Dec 2023 Seasonal catalogue. I used the 2-3/8″ punch (Online Exclusives) for the Early Espresso and the Heartfelt Hexagon Bundle (Online Exclusives) for the Hexi punch and sentiment. On the inside of the card I stamped “Thinking of You” and a floral design from Garden Meadow, which will be available in the near future, but as a demonstrator I was able to preorder.
My Supply ListI hope you try this fun fold. As ever, if you have any questions about the card itself or any of products, feel free to reach out.
Happy stampin’ my friends
Hugs, Lise
