With sadness, I made this card for my sister in law Sandy, and brother in law, Blake, for the loss of their gorgeous German Shepherd, Charlie. Charlie was a lovely girl, who loved everyone and especially loved “helping out” at their cattle farm. She’ll be missed, for sure.
Card base – Basic Black – 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 (score at 4-1/4)
Front Matte – Basic White – 4 x 5-1/4
Inside Matte – Basic White – 4 x 5-1/4
Basic Black Scrap for front Sentiment
I used a piece of the Poppy Parade DSP and Black 1/8″ from this month’s Paper Pumpkin for the front of the card, but of course you can use one of the prints in the .Playful Pets DSP.
I used the paw die to cut out the paws on the Basic White, top right, using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.
I fussy cut the Shepherd from the Playful Pets DSP
The sentiment on the Black banner is also from the Pampered Pets stamp set, stamped with Versamark ink, embossed with white embossing powder. I flagged the ends with my paper snips.
I put the dog and the black banner on Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used Resin Heart Embellishments for the banner, paw and dog’s heart. (Jan-June Mini)
I used the heart stamps on the flap on the envelope and inside the card, to finish it off. This card is very simple to make and easily do-able for even the newest stamper.
