I made this card to say hello to my son, Ian, who is an essential worker in the Toronto area. He is an avid dirt biker and when he gets a day off, you can most often find him stirring up the dust on his bike.
The card base is Night of Navy, and the front matte is Crumb Cake. I stamped images from Geared Up Garage and the tire treads from Pedal to the Metal with VersaMark and embossed with clear embossing powder. I used the Stampin’ Sponge to smudge some crumb cake randomly on the card stock, and around the dirt bike image, which I die cut with the Stitched Nested Labels. I used the Classic Label Punch for the sentiment. I used Very vanilla for the dirt bike and sentiment.
This beautiful floral suite is coming your way on April 1st. The Ornate Garden Suite is part of the selection for the new Annual 2020/21 catalogue, coming in June, but as an early release, we get to enjoy it before the catalogue comes live on June 3rd. This card was inspired by a card from a member of the Stampin’ Up! Design Team, Emma Goddard, in the UK.
Cut your card stock as follows:
Card Base – Very Vanilla 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, score at 4-1/4 Very Vanilla (cut 2) 5-1/4 x 4, plus small scrap Garden Green – half sheet Ornate Foil DSP – fussy cut flowers
I heat embossed the large floral design with gold embossing powder, onto Garden Green card stock, then fussy cut it out.
Die cut the larger of the scrolled frames from the Ornate Layers Dies, from the Garden Green card stock.
Emboss one of the Very Vanilla pieces, with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder. Layer onto the card base, adhering with your favourite snail or liquid glue.
On top of this, layer your Ornate Layers frame, and then place your embossed floral element onto this.
Place your fussy-cut flowers onto your embossed leaf/floral, adhering with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Heat emboss your sentiment, in gold and trim. Embellish with the gilded gems.
I hope you enjoy the tutorial video. Have a great weekend.

I have a feeling that Painted Poppies and So Sentimental are going to be my new favourite stamp sets this season. I cased this design from Kylie Bertucci, a demonstrator in Australia.
My card base is Basic Gray 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.
The matte is Highland Heather, cut 5 1/4 x 4″
The front is Whisper White, 3 3/4 x 5″
The sentiment is from “So Sentimental” – (Occasions Mini Catalogue 2020), stamped in Highland Heather. The floral design is from Painted Poppies, stamped in Basic Gray, and coloured with Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends.
I cut out the sentiment using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. ” So Sentimental” and “Stitched So sweetly” dies are bundled for a savings of 10%, in the Mini Catalogue, when you purchase both together.
Always in need of bling, I used the Highland heather dark Stampin Blend marker to colour some of the Basic Rhinestones, for the front of the card.
I love this stamp set. This month, I know I’ll be obsessing with this Painted Poppies Stamp Set. It’s available as a suite, as a bundle or all by itself, in the 2020 Mini Occasions Catalogue.
I used Basic Black for the card base – cut 4 1/4 x 11, score at 5 1/2″
Matte layer – Old Olive – 5 1/4 x 4
Front – Whisper White – 3 3/4 x 5
Using Basic Gray, I stamped the verse stamp from the Very Verailles set, centred in the Whisper White
I stamped the design in Memento Tuxedo Black and used the random dot stamp to give a hint of colour with Poppy Parade and Old Olive.
I heat embossed the “Happy Birthday” on black card stock, using the Whisper White Embossing powder and cut it out, using the Classic Punch. Don’t forget to sweep your card stock with the embossing buddy before stamping with the Versamark, to avoid having embossing powder stick where you don’t want it. If necessary, you can use a small paint brush, to remove any unwanted embossing powder, before using the heat tool.
Once assembled, I applied a few of the frosted epoxy droplets, because…. every card needs bling!
This Sale-a-bration Stamp set can be yours, FREE with a $60 purchase. I’m very excited that as of February 4th, there will also be a die set available for this stamp set. Life is Good!!
Card Base – Basic Gray – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 – score at 4 1/4″
Matte – Flirty Flamingo 4 x 5 1/4″
Card front – Whisper White -3 3/4′ x 5 “
Scrap Whisper White – cake stamp (fussy cut)
I used the 2″ circle punch to punch a circle from the Flirty Flamingo. It’s going to be covered with the Whisper White, so it doesn’t matter where you punch.
I then ran the Flirty Flamingo circle through the Big Shot, in the Scripty embossing folder. Because this is a 3D Embossing folder, you might want to consider purchasing the 3D embossing plate, as it eliminates the need for shims when running through the Big Shot. I can’t do without it.
I stamped the Cake stamp with Basic Gray, onto some Whisper White, coloured it with Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends, then fussy cut it out.
A little Wink of Stella, on the flowers, and voila!! I also used a bit of Wink with some basic gray ink, to highlight the cake.
I put the cake cut out on Stampin’ Dimensionals, to give the card some “oomph”.
