I saw this little box on Peggy Murwen’s post today and thought it was just the thing for my family on Easter weekend. It looks complicated but it is surprisingly easy.
For the Base, You need a piece of cardstock that is 3-1/2 x 6, and 4 pieces of designer paper that are 2″x 3″, scored at 3/4″ on one end. The scoring directions for the base are as per the template.
Today I’ve been catching up on some organization and creating my Embossing folder samples. Please contact me if you’re interested in the PDF of the labels, if you would like to reorganize your embossing folders like this. I used Avery 5167 Return Address Labels. Click on the red download button below to download the PDF file. I’ve included folders for the past 4-5 years.
My “bookmarks” are 2″ x 5″ and I’m using the (retired) Scalloped Tag Topper, but any punch tag topper will work for you. I keep them organized with a split ring, available at any stationary store or probably even at the dollar store
Don’t you love this floral stamp? I needed some cards for my upcoming birthdays, and I absolutely love this set. (This set is free, by the way, with a qualifying purchase of $120). The flowers are 2-step, meaning you stamp the outline with one stamp, then stamp the coloured parts with the fill-in stamps. This set is “Distinctive” meaning it can look like you’ve used two different colours, but it is just the way the stamp is formed. It’s a very simple card. The base is Evening Evergreen (8-1/2 x 5-1/2, scored at 4-1/4). The Designer Series Paper is Texture chic from the Annual Catalogue – 4 x 5-1/4″.
I stamped the floral design on Basic White using Early Espresso ink, Pale Papaya for the main flowers, Evening evergreen for the leaves, and Cajun Craze for the top flower element, as well as the dots around the flower. I also used Pale Papaya on a blending brush to give some highlight around the flower stem. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso, as is the little bee.
Just to switch it up a little, I used the Layering Diorama Dies to cut out the basic white and mounted it on dimensionals.
I hope you like this card enough to make one and wish someone a happy birthday. PS – happy birthday to all you January babies out there!!

Here is a quick tutorial video on how I made this card. I hope you enjoy it and give this card a try.

We’ve been madly working on our back garden, now that we’re over the virus we both had, and in the afternoon, to cool off, I’ve been playing in my craft room and quilting room. This weekend, I cracked open my “Best Remedy” kit. It’s adorable. There is a link under the picture, to see the tutorial video for a few alternative ideas. I hope you like them. Just a reminder to please use my host code, FV4CJ9XX if you plan a purchase, as it allows me to earn free products that I gift for my monthly draws. (thank you)
I had fun with this kit, Best Remedy, over the weekend. Check out my Youtube video for some alternative ideas as well. https://youtu.be/vxxzRi3lTS8. NOTE – the Dots & Spots die is free during the month of August, with a $120 purchase, for Sale-a- ration, but you must use the part number 163098.

The Dots & Spots die is what I used in my alternative Mouse card in the kit above but you must use the part number in the SAB picture above, to get it free with a $120 purchase

Some things are great on their own but become epic when they are paired with something else: cereal and milk, toast and butter, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. We may be biased, but our favorite combo is our stamp sets and dies—and that’s what the Perfect Partners promotion is all about!
We created six new dies that coordinate with stamp sets in the 2022–2023 Annual Catalog and the July–December 2022 Mini Catalog. These coordinating dies will only be available during this promotion and will not be offered in any catalog.

For each of the three different designs, I did the original design from the kit, as well as two alternatives. I kept it simple, as I was flying by the seat of my pants, but I was happy with the results. I hope you like them.

This card looks so complicated, but it’s really dead easy. In two of the samples above, I used embossed card stock and on the Soft Suede card, I used Texture Chic DSP.
Here’s what you need to make these cards.
Card base – 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
Basic White – 5-1/4 x 4
DSP (2) 5-1/4 x 4 – If you’re using card stock instead of DSP you will need one piece
Card stock scraps – white and whatever you want for your die cuts for your sentiments
corresponding ink
I used the stamp set “Season of Chic” and for the sentiments, I used the dies from Seasonal Labels. These are both available in the new current Annual Catalogue.
I have a tutorial video on my YouTube Channel – you can check it out here
