Shaded Summer Birthday

Shaded Summer is such a cute stamp set. I really enjoyed this quick card. I did birthday cards this time but the floral graphics are great for any occasion.

I used the Stamparatus for the Calypso Coral card and just randomly stamped the sentiments on the Pale Papaya Card. I think I prefer the Calypso Coral as it is a bit less busy but they’re both really pretty.

Very few supplies are required.

Card Base – 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, score at 4-1/4
Basic White (inside) 5-1/4 x 4
(floral) 4 x 4
DSP – 4 x 4 (for the Calypso Coral and the Pale Papaya, I used a scrap of the Hand Penned DSP , but any coordinating DSP will work. I used Balmy Blue cardstock on the blue card, and shaded the edges of the cutout with Balmy blue ink.

***Sneak peak — in the Sale-a-bration brochure there is a FREE die set which coordinates with the Shaded Summer Stamps!!

I set the stamps up the way I wanted them on the stamparatus, and stamped my way down the page, using every second hinge placement. Then I relocated the stamps and did a second trip down the card stock, again using every second placement in the hinge.

You can see here how I changed the location of the stamps, and on the right side, you can see how the stamparatus enables you to move the top plate down the card stock, using the different placement areas in the hinge

Here I stamped the main floral graphic onto a piece of Basic White and cut it out using the middle size of the Diorama Dies.

I used the blending brush to apply a ink along the edges of the cut out floral as well as the DSP which I placed behind the stamped image.

On the inside, I used the smaller floral stamp, stamping off on graph paper before stamping the Basic White, for a more muted look.

A few Champagne Rhinestones and some matching ribbon complete the look.
